Term 1 saw the Muwinina Mob assemble for a gathering in the hub as we celebrated connection, culture and identity.

We gathered to view the new House Totems and engaged in a small art lesson. Throughout the term a number of grades were engaged in a tour of TMAG and their aboriginal exhibitions. These exhibitions highlighted for our students the deep history and connection Tasmanian Aboriginal people have with country and culture. It was a great opportunity for students to understand the impact of colonization and invasion on Aboriginal people in Tasmania and across Australia. 

In Term 2 the Muwinina Mob and various grades will be involved in a number of educational opportunities and excursions as we further our knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal Culture in Tasmania.
